We are pleased to announce that Bayview has proudly obtained Platinum status with SAGECare for the third year in a row. We are currently one of only two Senior Living Communities in the state that have an active credential.
SAGECare provides specialized training on LGBTQ+ aging issues to service providers and is part of SAGE, the national organization dedicated to help improve aging services and better serve LGBTQ+ older adults.
Bayview’s certification is an important step on our journey to continually provide informed, compassionate, and inclusive care to our LGBTQ+ residents. To earn this distinction, at least 80% of our staff and leadership have completed SAGECare training. Bayview is further committed to maintaining our credential by requiring and mandating training as a condition of employment.
Together, Bayview and SAGECare will continue our partnership to serve residents, staff, families, and the greater community with the best care possible and make each person feel comfortable for who they are.
